Nepal's electricity system has long been built on hydropower. It remains our backbone, but the last decade has exposed its limits: floods, landslides, glacial lake outburst floods, and prolonged dry spells repeatedly disrupt run-of-river generation, making clear that climate volatility is now a direct threat to our energy security.
